Amira Fritz
Amira Fritz’s career started of soon after graduating art school in Vienna, where she was inspired by natural surroundings and flowers within a context of cinematographic images, lights and atmospheres. In 2008 her work was awarded at the Hyères photography festival with the Mention spécial du Jury, followed by a solo exhibition at the renowned festival in 2009. The unique cinematographic style with its painterly effects and floral elaborations attracts superior international magazines as well as the art scene. Thus Amira was assigned by Franca Sozzani for the Italian Vogue in 2009 to realize “Ever Manifesto – Third Paradise” with eleven up- and coming designers to present their works of ethically sourced italian textiles. The special color palette and subject matter of her style resulting from the natural surroundings and shooting times usually around dusk or dawn implicate extremely seductive and emotionally charged photography. This fictional potential through special compositions and her very own application of light makes her a successful art photographer with exhibitions all over the globe as well as a frequently requested editorial- and fashion photographer, appreciated by magazines such as Italian Vogue, Zeit Magazine and Sleek an by clients like Tillmann Lauterbach, Matthew Cunnington & John Sanderson and many more.
