Through his unexpected and bizarrely humorous creations, the artist Erwin Wurm has achieved worldwide fame and remains unique in his art. The Austrian is famous for his unconventional motives in a wide variety of media - whether photographs, installations, videos, dust projects or "one-minute sculptures". Wurm's "fat sculptures", which express the status of the middle class in a "fat" and bloated state, are also very well known. In fall 2006, he captivated visitors of the MUMOK in Vienna with his work.
